The Gallery Tret’jakov is situated at 10, Lavrushinskij Pereulok, 109017 in Moscow and is open from 10 to 8 daily except on Mondays.
This museum has the largest collection of Russian fine arts in the world and was founded in 1856.
The main building was designed by the Russian painter namely Viktor Vasnetsov and in 1985 the museum started a section of modern art which was displayed in a huge building along the south of Ponte Crimeo.
This museum gives you the chance to discover the rich culture and tradition of the place from which artists such as Chagall, Kandinsky and Malevich were born.
The gallery has sixty two rooms and more than one lakh work displaying the development of Russian painting from the 10th to the 19th century.
