The museum of figurative arts “A.S. Pushkin” is situated at 12 Volkhonka in Moscow and is open daily from 10 to 7 except on Monday. The museum is named after the well known Russian poet, Alexander Sergeivich Pushkin.
The museum was inaugurated in 1912 and was perceived to be a place from where one could get instruction and artistic education of the art of the medieval world, the Rinascimento and the Middle ages.
At present there are numerous memorial and fine arts display in this typical Russian museum.
There are private collection of several artists and sculptors here such as Grisha Bruskin who was not previously that popular but later got fame after he took part in the Moscow Sotby Auction.
The Russian collection of Rembrandt is popular and has a book of his paintings in several collections, six of which are found in this museum. Do visit the exhibition ‘Life is Everywhere’ at this exhibition.
