The most central and notable structure is the Cathedral Square which is surrounded by six buildings, three of which are cathedrals named, the Cathedral of the Dormition, the Cathedral of the Annunciation and the Cathedral of the Archangel Michael.
Visitors should also not miss the Great Bell Tower of Ivan which interestingly resembles a burning candle. The main feature of the tower is the twenty one bells used as an alarm in the olden days. The Palace of Facets is another fascinating structure. |
