When in Vladivostok, make sure you take plenty of walks around the city because many of the attractions are hidden in the many streets and by lanes of this bustling Russian metropolis. Some of these attractions include the Vladivostok Aquarium and the Oceanarium (with both live and dry exhibits), the Dolphinarium (with its beautiful white whales and seals), and the Mermaid Statue in Sporty Bay.
Submarine buffs will love the C–56 Submarine Museum which is located inside a real World War II submarine. The waterfront is a wonderful picturesque place. Try catching a glimpse of the magnificent Pacific Fleet ships docked at the port. The fortresses are not too far away either; the Vladivostokskaya Krepost and Fort No. 7 are some of the most visited.
Experience superb Russian shopping at Sportivnaya market, which is the largest in Vladivostok. Chinese knockoffs are available in plenty, and so are bargaining opportunities.
