Kragujevac is blessed with plenty of historic buildings and monuments. Knjaževsko-srpski teatar, Museum of Genocide and Broken wings are some of the significant historic places exhibiting the old times. Knjaževsko-srpski teatar is one among the oldest theatre of Serbia. It was built in 1835 by the prince of Serbia, Milos Obrenovic, and celebrates theatre day on February 15th.Serbia’s famous park Sumarice Memorial Park is located near Kragujevac. The park is rich with a number of monuments like Broken Wings, one hundred for one, pain and defence, resistance and freedom and the memorial to shoe cleaners. Broken Wings is the monument of killed school children and their teachers. The Museum of Genocide is situated at the place of the massacre.
