Tourist guide Pristina

Pristina, or Prishtina, is the capital of Kosovo, a UN administrated province in the south of Serbia. It is also an administrative and cultural centre, housing the headquarters of the interim government and the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo.

The best means to get to Pristina is by air, with major international flights landing at the Pristina International Airport. There are regular bus services and train links connecting Pristina to the rest of Europe.

The city experiences a continental and Mediterranean climate, with average temperatures in the hot, dry summers being around 27°C; in the cold, snowy winters, around –5°C.

Pristina has a population of around 600,000 people. Although the city is still recovering from years of fighting, it is finally opening up to tourism as an economic activity.
