The important tourist sites to visit in the city include the Praetorian Palace, Carmine Rotunda church and the Cathedral of St Nazarius.Praetorian palace constructed in 14th century is situated in the south end of Central Koper Square. This is the most figurative secular building of the city. This is a storey palace having an exterior staircasetower shaped wings and two prominent on the east and west. Its façade is in the Gothic Renaissance style and has several beautiful inner areas which attract several visitors to this spot.
