The Cathedral of St. Nazarius, situated in Koper, was constructed in the 15th century. This Cathedral is famous for its valuable artistic works of Venetian masters. Byzantine ivory chest, chalice and the big monstrance, bust of St. Nazario and antiphonary of Nazario da Guistinopoli (miniature painter of Koper) are some of the valuables in the treasury of this Cathedral. One bell tower leaning on to the façade of the cathedral was actually made from the Romanesque structure. At present it stands as a remarkable viewpoint.
