The main attraction of Novo Mesto is the Krka River. This is situated toward Lower Carniola. It has a length of about 111 kms. St. Nicholas Cathedral is another attraction of this place. It is the landmark of the city. It is located at Triple Bridge near the Vodnik Square. It is built in a typical gothic style. Certain alterations were made to this church in the period of the Turks.
