This is the 3rd international airport all over Slovenia. It got opened on September 27, 1962. Apart from Portoroz, this airport has numerous tourist attractions nearby; inclusive of Koper, Trieste (Italy), Piran (Izola), and Umag (Coratia). The basic intention behind establishment of Portoroz International Airport was cargo and passenger transport. It stands 2 meters above sea level.
