The Nerja caves are located at a distance of three kilometers from Nerja. The place is known to contain world’s widest column and is a natural archeological cave. The cave consists of wall painting dating back to Palaeolithic and post-Palaeolithic periods. There are artifacts and skeleton which are as old as 25,000 B.C. and Bronze Age showing the place was inhabited then.
