The magnificent Neptune Fountain in Seville (locally known as the Fuente de Neptuno) is a monumental civic fountain situated in the Jardines del Principe. Although not as famous as its Italian counterpart in Florence, it is much smaller in size and surrounded by the garden’s numerous fountains.
One of the oldest gardens in the Jardines del Alcazar, the Neptune Fountain is one of its highlights at the Jardines del Principe. The garden was named after Prince Juan, son of the Catholic Monarchs, who was born nearby. Tourists who take a simple stroll through the gardens can find palm, cypress, magnolia, pomegranate, orange and other shrubs.
The garden’s opening hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30am to 5:00pm and Sundays and Holidays from 9:30am to 1:30pm. There’s an entrance fee of 5 EUR.
