The Zaragoza airport is a commercial airport which is situated near to Zaragoza in Spain. It is almost 16 kilometers to the west of the city and is the home of the Spanish Air Force 15th Group. This airport was even utilized by NASA as a contingency landing site for the Space Shuttle in the case of Transoceanic Abort Landing. Moreover, during the Cold War, the United States Air Force, used the facility as Zaragoza Air Base.
