Tourist Guide Zaragoza
Zaragoza is located midway between Madrid and Barcelona. It is the capital of the autonomous region of Aragorn and the fifth largest city in Spain.
The city is situated in a valley on the banks of the river Ebro and its tributaries. This area has a diverse topography ranging from deserts to thick forest, meadows and mountains. This diverse topography gives Zaragoza an extreme climate with winter temperatures as low as –0°C and summer temperatures as high as 35°C.
Zaragoza has a population of approximately 661,000 people. This ancient city traces its history back to 24 BC when the Romans established a city here. Over the years, Zaragoza has been ruled by many civilizations including the Iberians and Moors. Its most glorious period started in 1118 when it was declared the capital of the kingdom of Aragorn.
