A religious site, Monasterio de Piedra has two parts, which are the monastery and the natural park. The natural park is open all day and the monastery and its surroundings and buildings are closed for lunch. Historically, this monastery was built by the Moors as a defensive fort. When it got conquered by Alfonso II of Aragon in 1194, it was given to the Cisterian monks who built the monastery and lived there for almost 700 years.
