Tourist Guide Formentera
Towards the south of Ibiza lies Formentera. It has the smallest size in area amongst the Illes Balears group of islands.
La Savina, the port, is separated from the port of Ibiza by twelve nautical miles. These two ports are connected by fast launches (a 25 minute journey) and ferries (a 70 minute journey).
La Mola is the highest point in Formentera which has an altitude of 192 meters.
The summers in Fromentera are very hot. Although, the present yearly median temperature is around 19.2 degrees Celsius during the summer it soars to 40 degrees Celsius.
Although this is a very modern place, people have not forgotten the traditions which are part of the specific folklore of the island.
The population of Formentera is 6,875.
