Bilbao Airport - Bilbao

The Bilbao Airport is a public airport which is situated 9 kilometer to the north of Bilbao, in Loiu. This airport is the most significant airport of the Basque Country and north Spain. It had received 4,377,610 passengers in 2007. Moreover, the airport is known for its new main terminal which opened for public in 2000 and was exclusively designed by Santiago Calatrava. This airport was built in 1928 having constant increase in its traffic numbers. The terminal of the airport has a sleek design to it with two symmetrical wings and a sharp tip at its center which is visible when one approaches the terminal from the sides.
