Plaza de Toros de Vista Alegre is an historic large building situated in Bilbao, Basque County and can hold 15,000 spectators. This building was exclusively designed by Luis Maria Gana in 1962, prior to which it was destroyed due to fire in 1961. Later on, it was restored completely to the present arena that tourists can see.
Designed in neo-Mudejar style, the place begins its season in the month of Match, ending at the end of September or early October. The place is known to be more demanding with its bullfighters and animals, reaching a climax during the Semana Grande. This is the precise time when one can get to see the best bred bulls and the best fighters in Spain making a magnificent show for the spectators.
Once one enters inside the arena, he can see the museum, Museo Taurino, which offers an extensive collection of costumes, artifacts, posters and weapons of bullfighters.
