Museo Arqueológico, Etnográfico e Histórico Vasco is situated at Plaza Miguel de Unamuno, 4. The museum operates on Tuesdays to Saturdays from 11:00 to 17:00 and from 11:00 to 14:00 on Sundays. It remains closed on Mondays and bank holidays.
The museum collections cover the archaeological history of Bizkaia as well as Basque country’s ethno-history.
Spanning four floors, the museum features permanent exhibitions which showcase burial markers, pottery, fabric, armory, pre-history and archaeology and models of bizkaia. These collections are also available for studies for researchers.
The library situated in the premises of the museum furthers the information about the collections of the museum.
It is divided into sections of Archaeology and Ethnography. The Museum shop sells re-productions of museum publications, exhibition items, traditional accessories and music.
