Tourist Guide Maspalomas
One of the oldest tourist towns in Spain is the town of Maspalomas. It is located on the south coast of Gran Canaria in Canary Islands. The atmosphere of the town is very vibrant, warm and friendly. The town forms the part of the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana. The name of the town comes from Rodrigo Mas de Palomar, a soldier from Majorca who settled here and from. The town is a hot tourist destination.
It is equipped with tourist facilities like hotels, beaches, restaurants, bars, taverns, shopping centers etc. The city is a more up market tourist destination as compared to other places in the region. Various exhilarating water park as well as man made attractions like amusement parks, a golf course, nature parks, an aquarium and theme parks is present abundantly here.
The weather of the Maspalomas is most of the times very pleasant due to its location. The temperature is constant across the year. In summers the temperature ranges between 26 -28 ºC while in winters it averages at 22-24 ºC.
