The Old Cathedral was built from 1200 to 1300 AD. The new cathedral was built in 1512 to help stabilize the deteriorating old cathedral. At present, the new cathedral is the only entrance to see the old one and which connects to Romanesque and the Cathedral of Vieja. Many parts of the old cathedral are covered with beautiful elaborated miniature carvings.
