Salamanca's Plaza Mayor

The Plaza Mayor is an 18th century square and is one of the largest squares in Spain. Built in Baroque style as per the plans of Alberto Churriguera, this square is situated at the north side of the city hall. There are also a steeple which is decorated with allegoric figures and a Baroque building which has five granite arches. The facades of the buildings are three storeys high and have semicircular arches and balustrades.
