Joan Miro Foundation is a museum of modern art and honors Joan Miro. The building wherein the museum is located is itself a good example of modern design drawing from regional traditions. It was completed in 1975 by architect Josep Lluis Sert. This building was broadened in 1986 to add a library and the auditorium. There is also a space named as “Espai 13” at the Foundation which is totally dedicated to promote the young artists work experiment with art.
