MACBA Contemporary art museum is situated at Plaça dels Angels. The visiting hours differ slightly according to the season. During summer, it is open from 11AM to 8PM on weekdays.
On Thursday and Fridays, it operates from 11AM till midnight while on Saturday; it remains open from 10AM to 8PM. On Sundays and other holidays, the timing is from 10AM to 3PM.
During winters, the weekday operating time is from 11AM to 7:30PM. On Saturday, Sunday and other holiday, timings are same as in summers. It remains closed on Tuesdays.
The museum is dedicated to the works from the 2nd half of the 20th-century, which is displayed in both the permanent and temporary exhibitions.
The diverse range of collection is from Spanish, Catalonian and International artists. MACBA also has a study center which was established with the intent of helping the museum develop.
The study center also acts as a research center and a social space. The study center has a library, a couple of lecture rooms and an exhibition space.
