The Plaza de Toros de las Ventas is a popular bullring in Madrid in Spain. It is located in the barrio of Guindalera in Salamanca and was inaugurated in 1931. With seating capacity of 25,000, it is known to be the home of bullfighting in Spain. This bullring was designed by an architect named Espeliu. It has Neo Mudejar style with pottery incrustations. Las Ventas is divided in a ring and a group of zones known as patios. Its construction got finished in 1929 and two years later, in 1931, a charity bullfight was held with full capacity of crowd to inaugurate it. Until 1939, it reopened after it got stopped during the Spanish Civil War.
