Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza is situated at Palacio de Villahermosa, Paseo del Prado, 8.28014 Madrid in Spain and is open for visiting from 10 to 6.30 daily except on Mondays.
There are reduced rates for senior citizens and children under 12 have free admission. This art gallery of Madrid is also known as ‘Golden Triangle of Art’ and includes the Reina Sofia and Prado galleries.
The museum started as a private collection made by the Baron Thyssen Bornemisza de Kászon which was later extended by his son from 1921 to 2002. The collection spans over 8 centuries of European paintings emphasizing on the highlights.
Some popular artists whose paintings one can find here include Picasso, Edward Hopper, Jan Van Eyck, Han Holbein, Caravaggio, Domenico Ghirlandaio, Auguste Renoir, Vincent Van Gogh and more.

| Opening Hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 7pm. Closed Mondays. The ticket office closes at 6:30pm. The Museum is closed on January 1, May 1 and December 25. The Museum will be open from 10am to 3pm on December 24 and 31. |
