The city of Madrid has a notable nightlife. The common practice usually followed is to meet up with friends in parks or restaurants and enjoy some alcohol together. Chueca is the place which specializes in trendy restaurants; Calle Huertas is known for its jazz clubs, bars and traditional Spanish music while Malasaña is usually frequented by young crowd.
Most tourists head for the clubs like Serrano 41, Independencia, Calle Alcalá 65, Fortuny, Café del Foro, Sportsman and super-trendy Mármara. The places like Café de la Palma, La Negra Tomasa, Moby Dick and Café Populart offer an eclectic choice of salsa, flamenco, jazz, rock, cantautores and world music.
