The Complutense University of Madrid is a university situated in Madrid and known to be one of the oldest universities in the world. This university is an affiliate of the Spanish Royal Societies of Mathematics and Physics. Established in 1293, the Chancellor of the university is Carlos Berzosa. There are 11,162 admin staff and 74,771 undergraduates along with 11,388 postgraduates studying here. Nicknamed as La Complu, the university has played a significant role in the political development of Spain since its inception.
