The Plaza de Cibeles is a square having a neo-classical complex of marble sculptures with fountains that has become an iconic symbol for Madrid City. One can see the fountain of Cibeles known as the Paseo de Recoletos. It depicts the goddess Cibeles (Cybele), the Phrygian goddess of fertility, who sits on a chariot pulled by two lions. The square one corner has the headquarters of the Spanish Royal mail, and on other corner, one can find the Bank of Spain. The square fountain is believed to be the most beautiful of the many grand squares in Madrid. This heavily trafficked square is surrounded totally by beautiful majestic buildings.
