Tourist Guide Murcia
Murcia can be described as capital city with respect to ‘Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia’.
Murcia is situated at the banks of river Segura in Spain’s south-eastern part.
Murcia has been constructed almost at center of low-lying ‘fertile plain’ called ‘huerta’; meaning vineyard or orchard of Murcia. This plain is inclusive of valleys of Segura. Moreover, it’s tributary on the right-hand side is river Sangonera or Guadalentin. Segura is a polluted river in Europe.
In spite of proximity of this area, climate undergoes several variations. Frosts have been experienced occasionally; whereas heat in summer is just unbearable. Severe sunshine is witnessed for around 300 days per year. Amazing orchard diversity happens to characterize the zone. At times, torrential rainfall occurs. In the winter season, temperature on an average ranges between 16 degree Celsius during daytime and 4 degree Celsius during night time.
Population as per 2008 census was 433850.
