La Casa de las Conchas is a unique building dating back to the time of the Catholic Kings; it is studded with 350 sandstone shells. The Roman Bridge over Tormes is perhaps the oldest structure in the city dating back to 89 AD. One cannot help but marvel at the magnificent university buildings spread across the city.
