Salou is home to one of the major tourist attractions in Spain, Port Aventura, which is a theme park and houses the famous Dragon Khan Rollercoaster, one of the main attractions. The city is also home to a number of beaches and seaside resorts.
Llevant Beach is the longest and the most popular Salou beach, which provides ample water sports opportunities. Some of the other popular beaches include Poniente, Capellans, Llarga, Cala Crancs and Cala de la Font Beaches.
The city also houses the Salvador Dali Museum and the Montserrat Monastery, which are popular historic monuments. The Altafulla and the Torredembara with their spectacular architectural patterns are highly popular.
Some of the popular events celebrated in the city include the Spring Festival and Basque National Day. While visiting Salou, be sure to visit the fishing village of Cambrils to sample some of its exotic seafood and the local cuisine.
