There are lots of shops in Toledo that sell swords, walking sticks, painted tiles, local wines, liquors and pieces of decorative laces and embroidered cloths and local crafts. The Toledan marzipan, excellent local cheeses and versions of the popular Manchego cheese are popular throughout the region of Toledo.
The city has a centuries-old tradition of glazed ceramics. There are numerous shops and boutiques across every street that sell hand painted ceramics of high quality. Damascene is another famous handicraft that makes most of the sale in the city. Every shop in Toledo has some form of damascene work with decorative plates and jewelry.
