The Mercado Central is opposite to La Lonja. This is considered as one of the oldest running food markets in Europe. The building itself was constructed in the beginning of the XX century, in genuine Valencian style. It has many colors to it along with ceramics and mosaics. This worth seeing market is lively and a perfect place to buy some local delicacies. The Mercado Central has restaurants, souvenir shops and bars too. Such modernist Central Market is one of the largest markets in Europe.
