The Valencian Institute of Modern Art or the Institut Valencía d'Art Modern (IVAM) is opened in 1989. As the name suggests, this institute holds a collection of modern artwork.
Some of the artwork date back to the 1930s. Located at the Centro Julio Gonzalez, Calle Gullem de Castro 118 in Valencia, this institute is a famous museum in Spain. Visitors can see some spectacular pieces of contemporary art in this institute.
A separate section of the museum is dedicated to art work done by Julio Gonzalez. He is a famous sculptor from the 20th century. Another section is dedicated to the collection of Ignacio Pinazo.
Besides these permanent exhibits, tourists can visit some temporary exhibitions as well. The IVAM or the Institute of Modern Art mainly displays the evolutionary progress in the field of art.
The institute-cum-museum remains open from 10 am to 8 pm for all days. This museum is like a paradise for the art lovers.
