The city of Valencia is known for its bohemian bars and easy nightlife. Calle Alta is a good street known for its innumerable bars and cafes. Bar Canovas, Bar Zaena, Calle Antiguo Reino de Valencia and Plaza de Canovas, located at a short walking distance from Town Hall are considered to be long time favorite among the locals.
Barcas serves drinks and tapas at the stand-up bar with live music often played in the evening. Casa Montaña is an antique drinking cellar that has earned a reputation of selling the best tapas in the city while Playa de Malvarrosa is an open-air bar that plays music and has dance floor. The tourists visit this place to experience the cool breeze blowing in from the sea during summer time. Akuarela Playa is a well known disco known for its expensive entrance fee and best drinks.
