Valencia is a city known for its fewer souvenir shops and tourist facilities. Calle Colón, Plaza del Ayuntamiento and Calle Don Juan de Austria are known to be the best shopping streets. El Corte Inglés, the city's largest department store has earned a good reputation by selling crystal and porcelain, local handicrafts, and other luxury items.
The Mercado de Colón located in the heart of the city is the hub of many shops and a bustling cafe life. Manglano is the best food shop in town while Manises is known for its azulejos and ceramics. Mercado de Colón houses a small collection of boutique shops while the small individual shops are found in the Old Town area.
