The Maritime Centre is a museum which displays the world's largest collections of ships. One can walk around the famous naval vessel HMS Smaland which is showcased and admire her cannons.

The Maritime museum has nineteen ships, submarine, a paddan boat and a cargo ship. It is close to the Opera at Lilla Bomen. It is great place to take a stroll or just enjoy a cup of tea and snacks. The harbour used to be a major centre of trade in Gothenburg.

It has an interesting and historic collection of ships. It has a detailed records of the history of Gothenburg. Its ideal location reminds one of the importance of the harbour. The museum is one of a kind and can be a great learning experience.

The café and restaurant also provides a delicious spread to be enjoyed after the long tour of the museum. All signs are in English which eases any language difficulties faced by visitors.
