A free city map of Gothenburg city is available at the Tourist Information Office, at Nordstan shopping center and Kungsportplatsen, which give information about the tram networks within the city.

Tourist brochures can also be taken at the airport. Do carry change with you and the city gets quite chilly at times so do get warm clothes, socks, gloves, woolen clothes, jacket and scarves to protect oneself from the cold.

Being a large city everything is available here and can be purchased as a last option however do carry dresses in layers and an umbrella as the weather is quite unpredictable and it rains here more than on the Swedish east coast.
