The ruins of Helsingborg Castle lead down to the city centre and give a beautiful view of the harbour. There is also the nineteenth-century Sofiero Castle with gardens that display a wide variety of local and foreign plants, especially rhododendron blossoms. There is also Dunkers Kulturhus (Dunker’s Culture House) museum that conducts music concerts and exhibitions of art, crafts and history.
One must not miss out on the culinary delights here. Gastro, Niklas Helsingborg and Sofiero Slottsrestaurang in Skane are famous for their delectable treats. The pedestrian streets of Kullagatan, Bruksgatan and Södra Storgatanand are a treat for any shopaholic.
The town has several events and festivals throughout the year which lends it a festive atmosphere. The Helsingborg Rock Festival in July has performances by local and foreign artists. The annual Garden Festival in the beautiful gardens of Sofiero Castle in August is also popular.
