Tourist Guide Landskrona
Landskrona is the seat of the Landskrona Municipality in Skåne County, Sweden. It is a seaport located on the eastern side of the Öresund and is its only natural harbour.
Landskrona experiences mild winters and warm summers. The town was founded by King Erik XIII, ruler of Sweden, Denmark and Norway, and accorded the status of a town in 1413. After being destroyed by the Danish–Swedish conflicts in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, the city was rebuilt in the mid-eighteenth century.
The town of Landskrona represents about 72% of the municipality with 28,700 inhabitants. The major industries here are tanning and beetroot sugar manufacturing. It is also one of the towns with the highest manufacturing output in the country.
