Stadshuset (City hall) in central Stockholm on the Island of Kungsholmen is a must-see for every visitor.
It boasts of the finest architecture. The architect Ragner Ostberg who created it incorporates beautifully the Viking history into its structure.
The building stands strong on eight million magnificent red bricks. The blue hall does not have a single brick in the colour blue, it simply is the name of this hall.
In this very Blue hall the Nobel Prize banquets are held followed by a dance in the Golden hall. It is made of different types of marble and ten kgs of gold. The brilliance of the architecture is mesmerizing.
