SoFo, or known also as “South of Folkungagatan” is situated in Sodermalm, which is a district of Stockholm. The name, SoFo is actually a pun on soho, the districts in Manhattan, Tampa and London and an invention of local entrepreneurs in 2003. Since then, the area is popularly known for fashion and retailing shops, where many Swedish fashion designers also reside.
