Tourist Guide Basel:

At the heart of Europe, Basel, on the Rhine banks, is an extraordinary commercial
hub, with a perfect transport network inside the urban area, as well as, to and from
any european destination.

Though in its agglomeration live over 250,000 people, it features the intimacy of a small centre.
An example of excellence in all fields of life, whether public or not, has a winning and striking motto: Business is business!
But much more comes true in this popular swiss centre: culture, an extraordinary natural scenery, safety, professional ethics & respectability, reasonable taxes.
Nice to be there at Carnival to assist at its traditional three days masked festival.
Basel which has the leadership in both industrial and commercial activity is mainly concerned in the pharmaceutical and chemical industry.
It is notorious that Switzerland, particularly Basel, along with Germany and France are  intimately attentive towards the research and Basel antique and famed university, is an avant-gardiste in both biotechnology and life sciences!

The city offers a wide variety of opportunities for shopping, sightseeing, recreational facilities and culture!
As a matter of fact, Basel is a place of culture!
The german philosopher Nietzsche was a professor, here and the local University has antique origins!
All the year along fairs, festivals and concerts are organized, non stop! Its carnival is an example!

The high number of museums is supported by several first class restaurants, traditional inns and historical pubs, where enjoy a good meal and get some drink, relaxing in an always welcoming atmoshpere. International cuisine is there, too, from Thai to Portuguese & Mexican, French & Italian, along with pizzerias, tea rooms and cafeterias, spread out throughout this charming town, offering a great variety of food. Amongst specialties are the famous rösti, fondue and raclette! Climate? Simply nice and agreeable!

Being the cultural and historical sites one close the other, it is nice to nose around this charming town on foot, where many are the opportunities to enjoy a drink and have some relax and, looking around, what an atmosphere and architectural style!

As a visitor I was in Basel this August. It was quite enjoyable time. We experienced the honesty and smiling faces of the Baselians. We appreciate the cleanliness of the city. We think that this is the place where the Heaven is.
