The village of Champéry is located in the district of Monthey in Switzerland. This picturesque Swiss village is situated at an altitude of 1,050 m above sea level in the valley of Illiez. It is surrounded by the magnificent Dents du Midi Mountains and Dents Blanches.
Champéry, like most of Switzerland, has a central European climate that is characterised by warm summers and cold winters. This quaint ski village has a population of approximately 1,200 people. The most commonly spoken languages are German, French and Italian.
Champéry can be regarded as one of the oldest tourist destinations in Switzerland. With a history that dates back to 1857, it is a town that still boasts of architecture that reflects its cultural heritage. Charming streets, with traditional rooftops and carved balconies, enchant all visitors.
