Renowned as a winter skiing resort, with over 15,000 inhabitants, Davos, whose economy is mainly based on tourism, offers lots of hotel accomodations to its tourists: bed & breakfast, pensions, chalets, first class hotels.
But, when in Davos, many are the activities to be practiced: horse riding, ice hockey, horses sleigh rides, romantic walks in the nearby woods and much more, not to forget indoor sports activities!
In the Canton Graubünden, Switzerland, Davos is a nice, winter resort, bathed by the Landwasser River, where live about 15,000 people throughout the year.
It is interesting to know that Davos is actually more of what it apparently is. It is a cultural centre, too: not only sports facilities with indoor and outdoor activities, good food and what a high quality cousine, but also conferences, congresses and festivals, are periodically organized here.
It is a notorious ski resort, closed to both Italy and Switzerland, in a typical swiss valley, surrounded by mountains on whose runs skiers will have great fun and enjoyment!
Davos is something special and a bit more, always! It has typical inns and exclusive restaurants where go and enjoy an exquisite meal, or have and drink and relax at one of its informal bars, or let yourself tempt by the rythm of its discos or the cosy, though elegant, atmosphere of its clubs!
In winter its climate is generally dry and, though cold, it may be said mild, as on sunny days, even at low temperatures, it is nice to sit in the open air and enjoy the warmth of its sun rays!
