Zermatt is a paradise for hikers. There are numerous hiking paths around Zermatt (400 km long) that run along beautiful forests, glaciers and romantic mountain lakes that reflect the Matterhorn. You can even go swimming in the lakes. There are also mountain railways that will take you to the higher areas.Guests can go skiing throughout the year - something that is only possible in Zermatt. In the summer there are 20 km slopes where you can go skiing or snowboarding. In the winter there are 313 km for various levels. Our ski area features the longest slope (22 km) of Switzerland and is a real paradise for ski enthusiasts - the area is extending up to Italy.

Zermatt is a car free resort. Visitors must leave the car in Tasch and take a train or taxi to Zermatt.
