International Museum of the Red Cross and Red Crescent is situated at 17, Avenue de la Paix, 1202 in Geneva and is open everyday from 10 to 5 except on Tuesday.

The museum is separated into eleven sections which give information about the history of the organization from its start till the present time.

There are displays of the work done by the Red Cross organization during the 1st and 2nd World War, audio-visual displays, textual displays, historical documents, propaganda posters and more.

The permanent exhibitions as well as temporary exhibitions are held on the ground floor of the museum and the present exhibits consist of ‘Le Labyrinthe de Belfast’ which hold 68 photos of Belfast’s notorious Maze prison.

The photographs have been taken by an Irish photographer Donovan Wylie and there is also a film shown by Amanda Dunsmore which gives details of the day to day life of prisoners.
