The Natural History Museum is situated on 1, route de Malagnou CP 1211 CH-1208 in Geneva and is open from 9.30 to 5 daily except on Mondays.
The museum is known to be the largest museum of natural history in Switzerland because of its size and historical importance, its spacious exhibition areas and its research activities.
The museum displays various periods of the life on Earth through the history of evolution and its minerals and geology collection.
There is a wide collection of Dinosaur skeletons, 193 species of birds, 88 species of mammals, 8 subspecies of tigers and other amphibians, reptiles and spiders.
The science displays showcase the diversity of the 8 scientific departments covering most of the groups from fossils, archaeozoology, vertebrates, invertebrates, geosciences and more.
