Mendrisio is a district in canton of Ticino, Switzerland. The place is ideal for a pleasant holiday in all the seasons; in summer, winter, spring and autumn with it has a soothing and mild climate.
Various Swiss heritage sites of national significance are at home in Mendrisio. One would get to know much about the Mendrisio’s religious details while visiting religious sites such as the Church of S. Sisinio alla Torre, the complex of S. Giovanni including a convent and the Church of S. Martino.
Six stately palaces in the district are attracting majority of tourists. These include the Dei Pagani Tre Buchi House, Croci House, Palazzo Torriani, and Palazzo Pollini, Villa Argentine and the mosaics and villa of S. Maria in Borgo.
Giovanni Zust Art Gallery would be the perfect place to visit for those who love art. Another must visit place is Tremona archeological site. The city is well known for the Grape festival which takes place every year in the month of September.
On a more shopping friendly note, the Outlet center Fox Town draws in thousands of local and traveling visitors from Italy, Switzerland and greater Europe thanks to labels including Gucci and Armani being present with large outlet retails spaces!
